Steps to recovery.

Treatment

On your first visit to the Osteopath you will be asked to discuss the symptoms you are experiencing and a full medical history will be taken.  The Osteopath will then carry out any relevant examinations using their highly developed sense of touch to identify any points of weakness or excessive strain throughout the body.  The Osteopath may need to send the patient for additional investigations such as X-Rays or Blood tests.  You will be consulted throughout your examination and treatment.

Osteopathic treatment consists of gentle manipulation of muscles, ligaments and joints where appropriate.  Soft tissue massage techniques are used to address areas of muscle tension.  Advice will be given on how to speed recovery and reduce the risk of re-injury.
